I should have taken a better picture because this place is great! I ordered the chocolate croissant, a crispy side of bacon with a salted caramel latte (almond milk). Everything was delicious! My fiance ordered the avocado toast, with a mocha latte and he enjoyed that too. Definitely will be coming back soon! ***Editing to add that they have show local art displayed. I specifically enjoyed the invisible man series by BSharkey. Super fun!

I had a lovely experience at The Stray! The ambiance is warm and inviting — perfect for a solo breakfast, catching up with friends, or even getting some work done. The staff were friendly and provided great service throughout my visit. I ordered the masala chai and avocado toast, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and everything was presented beautifully. The menu has a great variety, and I’m definitely planning to come back and try more. If you’re in Grand Rapids and looking for a cozy spot with good vibes and great food, The Stray is a must-visit!

What a gem! The coffee was amazing and the service impeccable. We saw three live bands at one of their ticketed events and the seating was comfortable but also the vibe of the evening made you feel like you could move around and mingle while listening. Loved the artwork displayed as well! And the bathrooms were clean and spacious. I'm going back!

Super cozy. I love the atmosphere here. Music, food and drinks were all great. Staff was super friendly. I really enjoyed the baked to order chocolate croissant. The espresso martini was also very good

Delicious chili, delicious iced lattes. Tried both the vanilla mint iced latte, and the salted caramel iced lattes. Super yummy! Service is really nice, and was especially good the first time I was here — although I did not catch the baristas name, he was very informative and kind :) As a studying space, I would highly recommend with a lot of comfy seating and space. Since it is such a vast space you may have trouble finding an open outlet if needed. My friend was not a fan of the iced matcha latte, but this could be personal preference, as she said it did not taste strong enough. Love all the art sold, and the magnet wall! This is a space for creatives

The Stray is a great coffee shop to grab and go but also has more than enough space to get comfy and stay awhile. The drink options are plenty as well as the yummy list of foods! Stop by and check it out soon!

What a delightful experience! From the moment I stepped inside, the inviting atmosphere, complete with intriguing art pieces, made me feel right at home. The food was certainly a highlight, each dish prepared with care and bursting with flavor. Moreover, the service was impeccable – attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The game night was an absolute blast, offering a wide array of options that made it easy and enjoyable to connect with fellow patrons. I'd highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a well-rounded and memorable outing.

What a unique cafe experience. I loved it! It was a live music night celebrating the Irish, and though I didn't try any of the beverages, their flatbreads are divine. They have a free water station, loads of diverse seating (from traditional tables and chairs, bar stools, and even sofa with coffee tables complete with books), and tons of local artist and craft made goods for sale. This is definitely a hidden gem off the beaten trail I never knew of but will definitely be going back and taking friends with me.
